Yes, many Canadian users here probably are familiar with First Air. They are a long established airline operating in the Canadian North and are a partner of Air Canada for northern flights. The airline is owned by the Inuit community of Kuujjuaq, Quebec. This is their fleet at the moment:

1 L-382G Super Hercules Cargo
3 Boeing 737-200 Combi
1 Boeing 727-200 Combi
2 Boeing 727-200 Freighter
3 Boeing 727-100 Combi
8 Hawker Siddley 748 Combi
10 DHC-6 Twin Otter
1 DHC-2 Beaver
1 Beechcraft King Air

In the north, cargo capacity is much more important than pax - many things can only be delivered by air espescially after the summer.

First Air has been operating out of Halifax the past few weeks. The NDP party has charted a 727 CGVFA for touring the country. I have also seen them in here running charters for Canjet.

First air is 50 odd years old and has aquired many airlines over its life, including Bradley Air services, Ptarmigan Airways and the good ol NWT air.

I fly on them at least a dozen times a year, and find thier service descent but could be much better.

They are the primary distributor of supplies and air cargo throughout the north.
