Seems I opened a can of worms by saying Kuwait was a dry airline. Personally it doesn't bother me, hardly ever drink on flights anyway. I mentioned it purely as a fact of flying Kuwait airways that many may not have expected by some travellers. The smoking thing is interesting though, apparently the filthy muck that collects in the air-con filters don't bother the airline, any one ever seen that stuff?
Connection times in Kuwait City depend on which two flights you are connecting with. I travel between Sydney and Amsterdam, I pick up Kuwait in either KL, SIN or BKK (same flight to three destinations). Difference between arriving from Bkk to departing to AMS is 4.5 hours, return trip is 6.0 hours. This doesn't bother me but it's obviously longer than the standard

Someone mentioned "free use of PTV's". Does this mean that some airlines charge extra for this? What airlines charge?
