New American Interior (Pics)

Fri Mar 26, 1999 2:40 am

Hi, all. I have some pictures of the new American Airlines interiors so y'all can see what they're doing. It looks really nice, and the seats are more comfortable. The pictures are posted on my website, more specifically at this page. Take a look, tell me what you think. I just kind of threw the page together after scanning the pictures, so it's not that great, but you can see the photos and that's what it's really for.

Sorry, those URL's are incorrect... I mistyped. Here are the real ones:

My American Airlines Homepage
Page with the Pictures of AA's new interiors

Sorry about the mistake.

They certainly look very nice. I have flown AA business class on those lamb skin seats. Glad to hear that you say that the new seats are more comfortable than the old ones. I am so glad to see AA is changing light blue seat covers of their economy seats because it wars quite boring.

planes? Now if I can only get that kind of interior
in my car I would be flying! hehe

I like them. To me, though...the Primer First looks kind of wierd...yet very comfy. Economy is squared off, but I am sure that that, too is much better than the old ones. Is that Business Class seat the same as BA's Club World seat???

I'll agree with you Fly777ual, the AA Preimer First seats look kind of goofy.

I wonder if there is another picture of it...

Indeed those are better pictures. I just saw those a minute ago. The ones that I posted were from a promotional booklet sent to AA employees that I scanned... the ones on the AMR site are much better. What is wierd looking about the Premium First seats? I think they look comfortable. By the way, FedEx, American has not decided what they are doing with QQ's planes. They will either redo their interiors to match these -or- they will retire them and replace with with 737-800's.

... they look comfy, but they also look goofy with the little footrest...it isn't in proportion with the rest of the seat. The partition (between rows...not seats) looks like a headboard on a bed, so if you look at it weird the first time, it looks like there are two people in bed with eachother. BUT....like I said...they do look comfy. I must admit, though....UA's beds look goofy, too!

Thanks for the new pcitures, it's a better view of the seats...

Of coarse any seat that reclines that much would be great in my book. Just wondering how well a tall person would fit in these. They sure look like they would be great on the Trans-Pacific flights to/from Japan. AA starts thier NRT-DFW 777 service in just a few days and NRT-SEA In May I believe.

Great pictures!
That of the 777 is awesome!

I think that the new interiors look neat, I'll see if they have changed in interiors on the 767-200 because that's what I'll be on on my next trip. I look forward to fly American Airlines again.

Keep up the good work.

Does anyone know if AA's ORD-HNL and HNL-DFW DC10s have the new interiors yet? Headed out there next month and wondering what to expect in F.
