Looks lovely. I've seen those before. They are a bit unrealistic as it seems a lot of space is being used with not a lot of seats!

I wonder if Singapore will have something like that?

Looks very nice. At least its more realistic than the "Flying Hotel" ads from Airbus.

You never will find any commercial airline with those cabin interiors.
It's simple:

-Too heavy
-too expensive.
-There's no demand for.

Or would you pay for 20 economy seats to have better service for not more than 15 hours?
=>You won't!

Therefore it remains a dream of AI and some airlines on advertising tour...

TOP, did you know that type of first class already exists ?
United first suite
Swissair first
American first flagship suite

Do you think there would not be that type of brand new first if there was no demand ?
come on, think just a little bit !!!!

... an eclectic mixture of decors borrowed from "Starship Enterprise", my favorite Woody Allen Movie "Sleeper" and other cues that would look great in some kind of a brothel ... Imagine hitting turbulence sitting on that bar stool! I can't wait, if it really looks like that I'll have to fly it. Who says only Americans have bad taste!
I have great confidence that the finished product will look a whole lot more austere, and better!

Let's get serious here!
There's no way this is going to materialize. If I'm correct, there were similar idea before 747 was launched, with sleeper cabins and other luxurious amenities. Look at 747 now, it's just used to carry hordes of people across the pond. I really can't see airlines equipping A3XX in such way.
But I wouldn't mind flying in one though!

MAC100, the bars don't put people in danger, there are already that type of bars in virgin upper class.

P.S: of course this is first class!
Personnaly I think that airlines will put much better first class seat, with bigger suite, that could at the maximun be like 2,5 economy seats wide (and the seats will be even bigger than today)
The Biz class will have seats that recline to bed like BA's new club world, but less cramped, with a normal seating configuration (BA new club world configuration:2-4-2...)

L'espace 180 - I know there are bars on other planes, but look at these bar stools ...
But on lighter note, I agree this all looks very exciting, but I wonder how much of this will survive when the bean counters at the airlines have been through with this. Bars, lounges, gyms, shops sound nice and I will be the first to fly on one of these things if it's really implemented and accessible to the average economy passenger. My suspicion is the same that is voiced by other people that these will be cattle cars used to ferry as many people around as is technically possible. Particularly people having to fly in Economy (myself included) will probably continue to prefer smaller planes that fly to less congested hubs. Imagine the wait at US or UK immigration after two or three of these things have opened their floodgates. It'll be a nightmare. Even if there is no wait at immigration, the wait for your checked luggage to arrive will be endless. Sorry for the gloom, but I am not looking forward to this.

MAC100, you must understand that flying 50 years ago was not the same as flying today, flying 10 years ago was not the same as flying today, and flying in 5 years will not be the same as flying today. At the airport, the luggages arrival place will not be shared by 3 flights at the same time.
Maybe there will be two luggages arrival place per A3XX fligths.
Same thing for the immigration, there will be more place to do it.
I must also say that I agree on the point that I do not trulie beliebe in some of the facilities that they say theyre will be (like a gym)

The bar stools are also quite strange in virgin's aircraft.

BUT the fact is that you can expect A LOT of innovation in passengers services, in Biz, First, and Economy.

Hope that you undrestand what I mean .

Take a look at the pictures above and think about today's first class cabin. Yes, we have sleeper seats now, but from the picture above, they look like a private office cubicle! (I meant that in a good way) A3XX must offer one heck of an economic advantage over 747 if airlines were to offer amenities seen above at the same (or competitive) first class fare as today. I know A3XX offers a lot more room compared to 747, but I highly doubt airlines will offer casinos, gyms, saunas, etc...
Airlines are in the business of transporting passengers. Flying is no longer the adventure as it was considered when Comet and 707 took to the skies. I, for my self, would much rather take a smaller plane that would get me to my destination on time than board a plane that take forever to load/unload passengers.
There maybe some routes where the amenities pictured above will be greatly sought after (JFK-SYD LHR-SYD and other long-haul routes, eventhough they make a stop). But is all that luxury necessary on a typical 8 hour flight across the pond? I don't think so.
If I'm flying across Atlantic, I'd take the Concorde- hands down. If airlines want to gear their services towards high-yield passengers, successor to Cocorde-like plane would be much better! (I highly doubt the economic feasibility of such project- but I highly doubt those luxury first class on A3XX as well.)
If you look past the first class on A3XX and take a look at economy, it won't be much different than what you see today.
There maybe improvements here and there as new technologies are applied, but airlines make money by selling seats. The more buns they can get on those seats, the more money they make.
Business travellers want frequency and convenient schedule. It's quite obvious nowdays that airlines are heading towards this route. It'll be nice to have less a/c in the air at major airports with airlines flying bigger a/c to reduce delays, but i am not betting on it- for now.

Yes, but airlines like Singapore don't need so many buns on seats as they are very rich so they would rather pitch the A3XX more luxurious product than competition.

And also there is only 555 seats on the basic A3XX that's not alot more than the 747.

And there wouldn't be as many passengers in that config in the picture so probably about the same or less than a 747!

Folks,

I think the big issue here is the fact we are talking about a plane with a quantum leap forward in carrying capacity.

There are still many debates of what to do with all that space on two decks on this plane.

I think in the end the most practical solution is to just provide more pitch between seats in every class. The new standard for the A3XX may be 840 to 860 mm pitch in Economy class, 1250 to 1270 mm pitch in Business class, and 1550 to 1575 mm pitch in First Class. It'll be interesting to see if SQ tries to go for the full 555 seat capacity suggested by Airbus or go to a smaller 500-525 seat capacity with dramatically increased amenties space for First and/or Business class passengers for their A3XX planes.

Well I doubt these interiors will make money. You know as everyone has said this is just like the 747. Bars movie theaters etc. Eventually geusss what they will be stuffed to the seam with, yep you guessed it SEATS lots and lots of SEATS.

Again, when the 747 was built it was very different as it was 30+ years ago, a lot has changed since then, as we are seeing airlines take away rows and rows of seats, for example Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class is very similar to that envisaged for the A3XX.

When the 747 came out it was spacious and airlines saw that as an opportunity to put in more seats, but in the late 90's and early 2000 the trend has reversed and there's no way I can see A3XX bucking the trend!

So of course the salon, casino etc. is not viable in today's terms. But lounges are bars will definitely be on this aircraft including more seat pitch for all classes.

P.s - I don't know about those curtains though!, Wooden blinds would be very classy!

Those pictures do look nice but that's AIrbus' view, not the airlines. What would they know about customers (except for the basics?)

(Singapore_air, when I talk about the most attractives first class, I never talk about singapore: Just tell me seat pitch and it lookthe same as the seat pitch of some Biz class...ok, ok there is a big TV... )

The 747 : it was built 30 years ago.
So that plane has the concept (I mean the cabin concept) of a 1960 plane, but the traveler of today requires more space, and aniway, (even airbus says it) the today and even more the 2005 traveler is fatter.

A little chronology so you understand the evolution of inflights seat :

-The first years of passengers transport :
They were seated without seat, with the mail, and they had to take theyre food.

-Arrival of the aircraft like DC-3, DC-4, DC-6 and also the first jets (707, DC-8) :
nice seats, a little cramped, first can be like suites (on Constellation, starliner...) or like today's economy class.

-now : PTV's, first with suites , biz reclines to bed...

-2005: just imagine a little bit (I agree I am not sure they can be casino, theater...) what can airlines will provides you.

Truly, I think the pictures do not show us something that will not happen in first, and I believe first will be much better (more privacy, and a lot a lot a lot of options).

L'espace180, you're a bit too naive. When these airlines you've listed really have those cabin interiors, here wouldn't be this topic. But perhaps they are very comfortable and special. And when persons are willing to pay 10.000-20.000 US$, then there would be such a class now!

Maybe the cabin interior will be more roomy and more exclusive, but never like a hotelroom.
Don't lets quarrel, let's wait. We'll see...

"Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine such a class. "

TOP, you DON'T have to imagine, it already exist !
Look at american airlines flagship suite and all the others first class !

But I believe this is not that type of first class there will be in the 3XX : there will be better first class !
And why do you want them to be more expensive than today's first class ? those seats do not take less room !
And it might even be 15% cheaper than today !

Singapore_air :
You know, you can wait a little bit for air france and delta introducing the new first class...They are working on it...
I am sure it is not going to have a bed doll bed...
How can you sleep in singapore first class ?
The bed is so short !
You schould calm down a little bit with youre singapore first class... exept for the TV, nothing in that first class is that wonderful.
The seat pitch in singapore first class is the same as air france biz class seat pitch !
