Indetify Planes

Wed Nov 29, 2000 5:18 am

Hi everybody,

I took this shot three weeks ago in Frankfurt and I am don't know which planes/airlines that are?
I suppose the lower one is an A320 and the upper one is a 777 but I can just guess.
Can anybody help?

The top one looks like a Continental 777.

The bottom one looks like an LH 321 or a Condor 757.
When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!

I'd say the upper one is a CO 777 or 767 but I have no ideas about the other.

Pretty impressive picture you took!

The lower one is certainly a LH A320, not a A321.
The upper one, I can only guess, but how about a Singapore Airlines B777? Is this possible in Frankfurt or do they fly the B747 on this route?

Singapore uses B747-400 on the FRA route.
Looks like a Conti B777 to me....

It could be Singapore because this flight was not operated to Frankfurt. I saw it overhead Franfurt.
But I don't know a european destination which SIA serves with 777.

BTW: You are a Sabena Pilot?
Is it possible that you take me on a trip on the jumpseat?

How Can ATC Let That Happen?

Aren't they jepeordising lives? How far apart are they because over here in England we always hear about the near misses.

The top one looks like a Continental 777 to me...I'm not sure that the bottom one is an LHA320 though...the red stripe around the middle wouldn't be on an LH plane would it?

Yes, I fly at Sabena, and if you ask the cabin crew during the flight, you normally will be invited into the cockpit. Maybe even for the landing! Just try it.

Continental has no B777s flying over Germany at all, at least I have never seen any of them on the ground in Germany or East of it. However, Singapore has routes to the UK, Holland and Belgium going over FFM (the Frankfurt VOR); maybe one of them is a B777?

There is no red stripe around the lower plane to me, that's just an optical illusion. Look at the tail. You can see the circular LH logo for yourself.
Anyway, I'm sure it is an A320.

The Lower One...

...looks like an A300; see the four flap-track fairings on the left wing outboard of the engine?

Does DHL look like that?

You cannot see the LH logo. I can see that the lower part of the tail is red with a small bit of text on the top. I am 99% sure that the belly is red. It definetly looks like a DHL A300!

I am not sure about the top plane! Is it really a B777? I a sorry for saying this and I may be 100% wrong but looks to me like an A32X, B757 or maybe B767.

Hi sabenapilot!

The problem is actually that I am a student and that I don't have the money to buy tickets very often.
I have heard that pilots have the possibilty to take peoples on the jumpseat for not only a single leg but for a day.
It would be very interesting to see the daily work of a pilot as I later will become one as well.
Please support me!
