Yes but not using AIB flight number and showing sector to Bogota ...signifies more circuits before heading home? Last few days seems all -1000 test aircraft resting up?

Does anyone have any idea why the first two were inducted at TLS? Was it perhaps to train some technicians on the 2Ku WiFi installation?

Starting with 3506 which will be delivered January 1st, the PTS will be accomplished in ATL for the foreseeable future.

From Airbus
The Functional and Reliability Testing took the flight test aircraft, MSN065, across Europe and South America. The A350-1000 completed its exercise after landing in Toulouse, France on November 1st (07:00 UTC) coming from Barranquilla, Colombia. In less than two weeks the aircraft flew approximately 35,200 nm / 65,200 km representing 150 flight hours, as per certification requirements.

These latest tests were part of an intensive Flight Test campaign which started less than one year ago designed to demonstrate readiness for airline operations. These included: high airfield performance, auto-landing trials, airport turnaround and handling services, cabin systems, navigation and connectivity function performance.

The A350-1000 test flight was operated by Airbus flight test crews with the participation of Airworthiness Authority pilots from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Don't think so. Will probably be done last as was with the -900.

I would think there's a very good chance. I'm sure Airbus would like to increase the order book, especially with certification now very close.

So we should see MSN 88 (QR's first -1000) in the air soon.

Wouldn`t this just have to be QR`s 1000? I`d have thought a contract would`ve been drawn-up, such is the importance of
publicity to QR for the Dubai Airshow. I think it better for AB too IMHO.

Given this year's diplomatic spat, I doubt QR will have any presence at the Dubai Air Show.

You may see an A359 or A35K at the Dubai Airshow 2017. However it will not be a Qatar Airways aircraft. The two nations are hardly on speaking terms.

Being slightly picky today? :scratchchin:

I read this as having been delivered on October 35, this a matter of interpretation. After all Airbus also invented the fifth quarter - coming up soon, interesting times ahead again.

Actually Boeing coined the humourous expression "Airbus' fift quarter" :old:

Airbus' fiscal year ends in December, so it is only normal its Annual conference takes place a few weeks into January, plus they all have to digest the X'mas & New Year banquets ( Leahy took on what, 30 kg in the last 10 years ? ) & all those last moment deals that are always closed by airlines for the same fiscal reasons. Add to that Leahy's regular scathing remarks at "our friends from Seattle" & one gets better Böing's resentment at Airbus' consistent higher orders in the past decade ( not sure about this year though, but with the Dubai's Air Show next week & JL retirement in early 2018, I expect him to have some secret orders up his sleeve to present with panache before leaving )

MSN 160 will deliver before 164. 3504 will deliver at the end of the month and 3505 will deliver in the middle of December once 3504 gets done with PTS.
