What If You Are Caught....

Sun Dec 03, 2000 12:28 pm

As there are many safety card collectors it is safe to assume that a few are missing after each flight. I always wondered what the F/A would do if they saw someone sneaking one into their pocket. What do you think would happen? Do you think that they would say something or would they keep quiet lest they offend the passenger and he/she does not fly with them again? Has anyone here actually been caught red handed?

I can tell you right now that most flight attendants dont give a shit. Things like missing safety cards are replaced after the flight, when the service crews board the plane.

I don't understand how people can be dumb enough to steal safety cards in the first place. It just deprives other passengers of information that could be vital to saving lives in an emergency. Pretty inconsiderate really...

I heard that once this guy stole a life jacket and he was caught and arrested by customs for endangering another persons life... serves him right

Nz152:

I know for a fact that missing safety cards are replaced after the flight by the service crews / cleaners. (Well at least on Qantas and Ansett it is). So it is not depriveing future passengers in any way.

Don't worry about missing safty cards. At Swissair for example I know that they are replaced after the flight and if any is missing during the flight the flight attendents have spare ones.
