For What Airline Would You Like To Be CEO And Why

If you had the chance to be a CEO for a year what airline would you like to be in charge of. And if possible would you make any changes to that airlines fleet or destinations.

I would want one of large ones like United or British Airways and eventually take over the skys. I would want to fly everywhere!!!

I would love to run JAT and reverse all the past mistakes and political decisions that destroyed it. I would order new planes, 767-200, 717, 737-800 and later 777 for extra long range flights. Ahhhh.... if only it were possible.

I would want to run SIA,then I can cancel the Airbus orders and order Boeings in place of it.

Well,
I guess I would want to takeover Frontier, I really think they should stay with the 737, I would choose the 737-800, rather than the A320, The I would open up flights to the Easters part of the U.S

Then I'll be the CEO of JAL, get rid all of its Boeings including 104 747s and 20 777s, and order 50 3XXs, 70 340/330s and 40 320s. Don't make it an A-B fight.

Return to this discussion, What I want to take is Asiana(OZ), just well for its size (about 50 jets.)

AEROFLOT!!!! Why you ask? Well I would like it to become the huge airline it once was back in Soviet times, but with the new service and enhancements of today. I would get rid of Every Boeing and Airbus, Build up the fleet with Long haul il-96m's and short to medium haul tu-204 / 214. For the short hop flights I would get the Tu-234 and Yakovlev 42. Get rid of all the older Jets in its fleet such as the Tu-134 and 154 and the Il-86, for the reason that they are too thirsty and will not meet noise requirments. Change the current livery to something that shouts Russian. I would have the Russian Flag bigger on the tails, or have the hammer and sicle wings on the tail. Get rid of the Cheat line that has been there for years, The bottom would be a dark grey, then have a Small red cheat line from the nose flowing along the body of the plane up to the tip of the tail. Top part of the plane would be a Really deep colour either Blue, or green? but that would probably clash with the colours of the tail? Have the full name AEROFLOT RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL written in Black italic letters ( of course in the russian language ) Be known for the best international first and Business class sections of any airline flying and have a HUGE network. But it is only a dream!!

Northwest, I'd love to finally come through and clean all those DC-9s out replace them w/ the A318 and more 319s and then get rid of the DC-10 and replace it with the Airbus 330. I would also make sure ALL the Airbuses had modern basic IFEs installed in them and replace those blue seats with a more modern looking interior. Finally on the long haul flights all meals would be served with real silverware like DL, AA and UAL use, I would copy some of the motivational practices Bethune used for CO on NW to boost morale and finally get a brand new ad agency for NW and get a whole new marketing campaign thrown together to brag about the improvements.
