SK F/a´s Strike Again

Mon Dec 04, 2000 6:55 pm

No sooner than the Norwegian SK f/a´s reached an agreement with the company, the Union of Danish stewards (CAU) is threatening with yet another SAS strike. All 1400 members of the Union will go on strike from Dec 11, 0500 CET, if an agreement is not reached, writes Danish daily Politiken.
The strike will hit the company hard, especially on Danish domestic flights, and international connections (CPH being the hub of SK).

Yes, already today my company has a warning on the intranet portal telling us only to buy non-SAS tickets for business trips. Just in order not to get stranded somewhere in the world.

Indeed.
And the wife and I`ll be flying back from Budapest on an SK flight for CPH on that very Monday, using my FF-miles.
I´ll probably connect to a Star Alliance or two flights, I should imagine!

Caravelle, don't worry too much, but stay in touch with the situation.
I am almost sure that in worst case the Star Aliance partner Lufthansa will take you via Munich or Frankfurt to your final destination, which I assume is Oslo.
Enjoy your stay in Budapest, a most beautiful city!

Thanks, Preben Norholm!
I'm not a worrier by nature, so I'll enjoy the flight, and the stay. And I'll be prepared for a leg or two by Lufthansa, an excellent airline!

RE: SK F/a´s Strike Cancelled

Sat Dec 09, 2000 1:22 am

Today the SAS strike (Danish F/A), which was scheduled to begin Monday morning, has been cancelled. There will be no interuption in traffic.
I just wonder how many million SAS lost because business travellers booked on competing airlines for next week....?
Best regards, Preben Norholm
