Thai Airways To USA

For many years Thai Int'l Airways have been flying into Los Angeles and used to fly into Seattle and Dallas and Guam. However, Thai discontinued to fly to Dallas, Guam, and Seattle. Since flights to L.A. is doing very well these past years, do you think that Thai will fly into other cities in the US? I have noticed in the Thai airways web sites that Thai have code-share flights to New york, San fancisco and many more, but you you think that Thai you actually fly to these cities?

I sure hope they resume service to Seattle. I don't believe a 747-400 or 777-200 can make the BKK-SEA route non-stop, but perhaps if 777LR or 747X aircraft were aquired, it could happen. I think travelers would love to be able to fly non-stop between the US and Thailand. Seattle is the closest city, so it makes sense. When they operated it, I assume with 747-200s, where was the stop made?

The Bangkok to Seattle route was operated by 747-300.

The flight stops at Taipei as mid point.

If they do expand service, it'll be to one of United's (Star Alliance) hubs....either Chicago, San Francisco or Dulles. I doubt Denver. has many forums. It has spell check and search functions. Use them before posting!

Yes, formally in the 80s, Thai operated on 747-200 flight from Bangkok-Tokyo-Seattle-Dallas/Ft. Worth and I remember it well. I remember when they were advertising the campaign on the tarmac of Don Muang airport with flight crews holding the banner which says, "Inaugural service, Bangkok-Tokyo-seattle-Dallas." Today, if you check at thai Airways website, thai has code-share service possibly with United and Lufthansa to New York JFK, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Chicago, seattle, and san franciso.
