Yes, I saw it last Friday while on a tour of the 717 facility. It looks WAY cool in person.

Did you really? I missed that post, sorry. It's interesting but I still prefer the previous livery which is visible in the background of the photo above.

While, i don'tparticularly like the new livery, i think it was needed because the old one was VERY similar to Ansett's. I would have preferred something a more business like since they are now marketing themselves to business travelers. This livery does look like it should belong to Air Tajikistan or Air Comoros.

(Like Krusty the Clown after watching "replacment" Itchy and Scratch cartoons)

"What the HELL was THAAAT!"

(Same colour as my baby clothes...... and, yes, that's the right way to spell "colour". )

Makes Me Sick!

The new Impulse livery is the worst airline livery of all in my opinion.

I prefer the older livery. I am pretty sure that Australian enthusiasts agree with me here.

by the way, the snap model for Impulse Boeing 717-200s is coming into the market at around late 2001 (in old colours of course!!).

Well, I'm an Aussie enthusiast. And I like the new livery.
I've seen a beech 1900 already in these colours and it looks great. The cockatoo is of course a native bird in Australia where it flies free and makes a lot of noise and disturbs the other birds, it's the boss of the parrot world.
I guess Impulse sees themselves like this and certainly they are disturbing both Ansett and Qantas.

Good on em!
I remember when the DC-3 was new!
