So is it wrong to assume that Singapore is going to work w/ Lufthansa and Star Alliance folk on the MUC - ORD route, especially since LH flies it w/ an A340?

Well, that's good, but SQ doesn't have B747-200Fs.

It's true that SIA does not have the B747-200F. On the original post, it wrote

SIA will also start thrice weekly B747-200F service to Munich, Germany from Singapore

Now, maybe it will be codeshare with Lufthansa Cargo, using LH's planes ?? Or is it simply with the B744F ?

Ooops, sorry. I was so caught up with the new service to ORD that I had cleanly forgotten about the new cargo flights to MUC. Sorry bout that, Mr BA. And yes, SIA Cargo operates an all 747-400F fleet.

Yes! Stay, my babe, who knows when we'll dance again, and I don't want to say Goodbye, but who know where we'll be after tonight!

I am surprised however that SIA aren't codesharing on the Cargo flights with Deutcsh Lufthansa. SIA haven't codeshared with many in the Star. Got a problem?

SIA doesn't actually codeshare with LH in cargo operations. Instead, they use Sharjah as a major transfer hub. Cargo being flown on SIA will get transferred to LH at Sharjah, and vice-versa. As such, the planes are better utilised. SIA, Lufthansa and SAS also have their own cargo alliance called New Global Cargo.

It's not directly related to the Star Alliance though.

This news, if true, is certainly music to my ears. However i have been unable to find anything anywhere about this including a call to singapore reservations. i wonder if singapore is going to add a codeshare to an existing flight. hate to disappoint anyone but i have a feeling that is the case.
