Alaksa Airlines

Fri Apr 02, 1999 4:16 am

FYI----Yesterday, I was at SEA waiting for pushback from the UA gates. There were about 6 firetrucks zooming past the plane, so I put the headphones on to listen to the tower communications. Apparently, and Alaksa MD-80 reported smoke in the cockpit.....then changed it to a bird strike in the #1 engine. They shut the engine down, and came in for an emergency landing. ** JUST FYI**

Read the post below titled "Alaska Airlines MD-80's" by United777:

Apparantly it was actually a baloon that got stuck in the engine.
