Sun Country Plane Skids Off Runway
No Injuries Reported
CHICAGO, Posted 10:16 a.m. CST December 11, 2000 -- A Sun Country aircraft skidded off a runway at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport after landing in a snowstorm Monday morning.

No one was hurt when the Boeing 727 skidded to a stop. Passengers were evacuated from the plane and taken to a terminal by bus.

The charter flight was from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Heavy snow fell in Chicago Monday morning and airlines have canceled dozens of flights at O'Hare and Midway airports.

Here I'm in Chicago. I watched the TV news right here now. Sun Country Airlines B727-200 flew from MSP to ORD. I can see barely Reg # is N2905C (not positive) too fast camera moving along the aircraft. No injured all psgrs on board. Wow!! What is a mess!!!

Sun Country has a B727 registered N290SC. That's probably it. All but one or two of them have registration numbers that end with SC.

I don't think it was a charter though. They have a daily scheduled flight that departs MSP at 6:00 a.m. and arrives at 7:15 a.m. I think it was this flight.
