LAN Chile A340. Are They In Service Yet?

Tue Dec 12, 2000 8:05 am

I called to book a flight to Santiago from LAX and they said that only the 767 does this route. I've seen the pictures here and on ther own web-site. Was the rep. un-informed or does there A340 serve another market?

Lan Chile's A340-300 aircraft are flying the SCL-GRU-MAD-FRA route currently, replacing the 767-300 that previously flew the route. Look for the A340s on European routes first, and then possibly Miami where Lan Chile can use the capacity.
