AA Extra Legroom & Revenue

Wed Dec 13, 2000 10:29 am

Does anyone know how many seats were removed to give extra room in coach class in AA's a/cs? What % of capacity is cut as a result?

Also, could it hurt their potential revenue in the long-run?

I think in a way it could, but also more travelers want more legroom and better service so AA is making a lot of money in that department, If they keep up the great service they currently have, they shouldn't lose any money at all. They are also not taking out too many seats, just two rows, this might hurt them a tad bit on the widebodies, but as I said earlier, they will more than likely make a profit
