Transatlantic Seat Pitches...?

Sat Dec 16, 2000 3:57 am

On British Midlands A330s the seat pitches will be as below.
I was just wondering what they are on other transatlantic carriers?

Business class - a 60 inch seat pitch

Enhanced economy class - a 38 inch seat pitch

Economy class - a 32 inch seat pitch

The pitches at BA are nearly identical.

World Traveller: 32"
World Traveller Plus: 38"
Club World (old): 60"
Club World (new): 6'
First: 6'6"

Hope this helps!

US Airways A330 Trans-Atlantic

Economy 33-34"

Envoy (business) 60"

First 94" (only 1 row of first so not really applicable)

US Envoy class is excellent, by the way. Great seat, great entertainment, great service.

L'espace,

You are correct! I was thinking of BA's Euro Traveller, rather than their World Traveller; it turns out they offer 32" on European routes, but only 31" on intercontinental. I find that odd, for it would seem smarter to offer the shorter-distance travellers on the 737/757/767/A320/A319 less room than the long haul pax on the 747/777.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
