Air Canada 747 Heavy In Tampa!

Thu Dec 21, 2000 7:56 am

I just came across this photo of an Air Canada 747-400 Combi in Florida. Why are they sending this plane down there? Take a look at it and tell me.

AC also used to send the -200's down to florida all the time, you would be surprised how easy it is to fill a 747 combi from Canada to Florida but don't hold our breath to see another one, they are all tied up on the Atlantic Runs, and are barely on the ground for 2 hours before they go back to Europe, it's rare to see those anywhere other then Toronto, Montreal, Frankfurt and London.

AC was running the Saturday noon flight YYZ-MIA (AC912) as a 747-100 in 95/96/97, i flew on C-FTOE on that service in 1996... nice plane.. glad i got to fly on it when it was still around...

Footnote: C-FTOE is the ex-AC 747 that was used to test the Canadian "Wings of Pride" scheme...

Keep those wings level and Never look back!!!
