VIE-KUL is 5,841 miles and the MH B777 is sked to fly it in 11hr 30min. Departs VIE at 1:10pm and arrives KUL next day at 7:40am.

Hello Adria,

I have been on a Malayasia 744, but not on the 777. The 744 was very nice, so I imagine that the 777 would be the same too.

Malaysia Airlines flies the B777 from Kuala Lumpur-Zagreb-Vienna. The reason for this is because Croatia Airlines codeshares on the Zagreb-Vienna route with Malaysia Airlines. I think they lease like 60 seats.

There is a very good report in the November(98) issue of Airways magazine. Very good report actually , details the 777-200 of Malaysia Airlines and there operations .

Me and my family was on a MAS B777-200 flight from AMS to KUL. We are 2 adult and 3 children, so the 2-5-2 seating was OK. We got the 5 center seats. The flight was about 12 hours.

Every seat was equiped with PTV, but only 3 of our 5 was in order. The FA was OK and so was the food.

The flight was also OK, but I still prefer CX, SQ and TG for flights between Europe and Asia.

Has a nice flight

I've flown this year three times with a MAS777. Always the PTV's worked. I think that there were 9 filmes in Eco, but 3 of them some hindu and malaisyan ones...
Anyway I enjoyed all my flights very much.

MAS 772s are excellent.Of all the 772s and 773s I've ever flown (CX772, SQ772, MH772, TG773), I have to say that MAS is the best (don't know about their 774 though, their 333 was crap).
The route I travel is BNE-KUL vv. initially they used 333s and there were no PTVs and the seat was very uncomfortable (kinda like the old QF seats) but sometime in 98 or 99 they changed it to 772s daily. The seat was very very soft and comfy, the headrests or the wings were comfortable also. PTV offers many different programmes but I think SQ has the better onboard entertainment.
Surprisingly in terms of seat comfort I find SQ the least comfortable. The headrests are weird (you'll know what I mean if you've ever flown SQ772/773s. Even CX and TG has better seats than SQ... Somebody tell them!!)
