As you probably know, only 2 British (VS & BA) and 2 American (AA & UA) are allowed to fly Transatlantic to/from LHR.
So instead of choosing a longhaul destination that they could fly to from London eg. Hong Kong /Tokyo /Islamabad etc, why did BD choose US ones that they had to fly from Manchester?
London is a much greater area of England for tourism, business etc. than Manchester, so wouldn't it have been more sensible & proffitable to ignore the US for a while (popular as it is) and fly to other destinations, esp. ones not served by VS aswell as BA?
Thanks for your opinion,
