Fleet Type Used By Malaysia Airlines. All 744s?

Tue Jan 02, 2001 2:46 am

Hi everyone

Does MAS use an entire fleet of B 747-400s for its routes to Hong Kong?

Any other 747 types?

Please let me know! Thanks!

MAS use B744 on KUL-HKG includes some 744combi.

For flights via Kota Kinabalu or Kuching, MAS use 734s.

Malaysia Airlines tends to fly the 744 and 74E on routes to HKG. Some flights are flown using the 772ER depending on aircraft availability as the aircraft tends to have arrived from Europe or Australia before being deployed on the shorter HKG route.

All flights to HKG are also code-shared with Cathay Pacific now so these 'MH' flights will of course be operated by CX using the A340 or B772 and B773.
