Scanners At Non US Airports

Tue Jan 02, 2001 10:34 am

Are there airports out there in the US and elsewhere that restrict the use of hand held scanners in and around airports. I would expect that there would be strict restrictions at some airports especially in countries where security is taken extra seriously.

Any information or insights appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

I've done a fair bit of travelling and have used scanners at different airports in the US, Pacific, Asia (China, Taiwan, Japan, HK, SE Asia), South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Former Soviet Union and the Middle East. I've never had any problems using it in airports or during flight.

Cheers
