Does anybody know what happened to the VC-10s
with the following constructors numbers (I
think they were all scrapped): 812, 823, 852,
855, 858, 859 and 860. Thank you.

You are correct that they were all scrapped. However here are a brief history of these beautiful airplane.

812 - standard VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ARVJ in 1964. Leased to Govt. of Qatar between 1975 and 1981. Sold to RAF in 1982 as ZD493 for spares.

823 - standard VC-10 delivered to Ghana Airways as 9G-ABO in 1965. Retired in 1980 and stored at Prestwick. Broken up for spares in 1984.

852 - super VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ASGB in 1965. Retired and stored at Prestwick in 1980. Sold to RAF in 1981 as ZD231 for spares.

855 - super VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ASGE in 1965. Retired and stored at Prestwick in 1980. Sold to RAF in 1981 as ZD233 for spares and fire drill unit.

858 - super VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ASGH in 1965. Retired and stored at Prestwick in 1980. Sold to RAF in 1981 as ZD236 for spares.

859 - super VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ASGI in 1966. Retired and stored at Prestwick in 1980. Sold to RAF in 1981 as ZD237 for spares.

860 - super VC-10 delivered to BOAC as G-ASGJ in 1967. Retired and stored at Prestwick in 1980. Sold to RAF in 1981 as ZD238 for spares.
