Boston-Brussels Route

Thu Jan 04, 2001 7:41 am

I was wondering how full these flights are, and what type of airplane Sabena uses for this route. Thanks in advance!

According to the Swissair timetable SN uses on their flight 534 (BOS-BRU) an A 330-300 and not 200.

It is an A330-300. BRU-BOS is one of SABENA's most successful US routes, especially due now to AA's connections. They usually put an A340 on during the winter, but have apparantly decided to stick with the 333 for the winter.

Although formally announced as an A333 route, Sabena actually operates a mix of A332, A333, A343 and this winter even the A342 again on the Boston leg.

The aircraft that is actually put on the flight depends of operational circumstances, such as availability and system wide load factor.

For those of you still in doubt, I can provide you with the list of the aircraft that actually visited BOS.

HB-IWC, not that I don't believe you, but if it isn't too much of an inconvenience could you send me that list for my educational purposes. Thank you.

Just as an illustration, the following aircraft operate the Boston flight these days:

03JAN01 OO-SFN (A333)
04JAN01 OO-SFS (A332)
05JAN01 OO-SFM (A333)
