East Midlands Airport

Mon Jan 08, 2001 6:33 pm

can anyone confirm that the runners for ownership of East Midlands are the owners of Copenhagen Airport in Denmark as well as Manchester Airport in the UK and the Australian investment bank Macquarie.
any help would be much appreciated.

EMA is as good as Manchester's. They are carrying out the due diligence on the numbers. And it is National Express who own EMA and BOH. Stagecoach owns PIK, which is also up for sale, but no buyers yet.

By the way, the Cathay freighter starts next week.

Oh well, if MAN buys EMA then you won't see much long-haul traffic at all eg Transatlantic at EMA for a while. MAN will probably buy it and develop it as a regional.
When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!
