DC AAir Livery

Tue Jan 09, 2001 10:37 am

Hi:

Any predictions? AA eagle on tail with similar silver fuselage but with DC AAIR titles? Name changed from DCAir to DC American or something else? Shuttle becomes Shuttle by American? American Shuttle? What are your predictions?

Too much time on my hands,
Joe

Do you think AA wil go with a hybrid AA/TW livery until they can repaint all the TW fleet that they choose to keep?

No, AA will repaint every piece of TWA hardware. And I expect DCAir to have it's own livery, but I dunno about the shuttle service.

DC Air is such a crap name. The BET guy said he wanted DC Air to have some "wow" factor not unlike Virgin or JetBlue...but with a name like DC Air and a boring patriotic livery with stars and eagles, kind of diminishes the wow factor.

I would like a name like "Smile" or "Freedom" or "Liberty" with a silver or grey body and in yellow billboard titles the name. The tail could be like blue and and yellow polka dots. Something funky yet chic.

After giving this some thought, it will incorporate some version of red, silver, and blue with a lame-ass capitol rotunda on the tail.
