Actually, if NW wants to kill two birds with one stone
, I think they should seriously look at buying a combination of 772ER and 773ER. That way, they can put the D10's and 742's FINALLY out to pasture.
This means the 772ER's will be on routes to Europe and the 773ER's will be on routes to Asia.
We may see a little bit down the road NW ordering the 764ER for USA transcon/US West Coast-Hawaii routes and very likely the A318 as DC-9 replacements.
