first off, thanks for all the responses. sorry about the bad link, i didnt get to check it before i posted.
CX Flyboy - i should have mentioned that at the time i was viewing the picture, all you could see is the tail, so thats why the description was so vague.
Sukhoi - you're not the only one who gets bored and views those cams. there's quite a bit of activity at night though.
the link to those webcams are:
on the 'north view' between 8pm and 1am(alaska time) you can see a few Delta 767s and 757s taxi into the picture but only the 757(i think) can only be at its gate(N3) because the other delta gate(N1) is to the right(off screen). Around 2am, there is sometimes either a Korean or Asiana 747-400 to the left(N5), only the back part of the plane can be seen(like the mystery plane i was asking about).
the 'south view' picture shows the opposite side of the intl' terminal at gate N2(I think). Usually between 1am and 3am, there is either a China Airlines or a Korean 747-400 parked. you get a much better view of the whole plane here, its sometimes hard to see the writing on the side, but still a good view. sometime around 1am, to the right, the tail of a Cathay Pacific plane can be seen as its being pushed back, but thats about all that can be seen. oh yeah, sometimes around 9am there's a Korean 747 parked at the gate, during that part of the day, you can identify the plane better. a couple hundred feet or so away, there are usually a few cargo planes parked and further back(but kinda blury) is the domestic terminal.
of course the third photo shows some of the construction going on at the airport, Gate N2(which seems like its never used), and the new roadway just built(to the right of the control tower). in a few years, the international and domestic terminals will be connected. read more about that at this site: www.dot.state.ak.us/external/aias/aia/Construct.html
the 4th picture is at Lake Hood(not too far from the airport).
again, thanks for the responses. sorry for the long post.
