What Plane Was I On?

Sat Jan 13, 2001 9:49 am

The year is 1989. The flight was from LAX-PHX. The only thing I remeber about the plane is that It was smaller than 737 and possibly had a seat in the rear that went all the way across like a bench. Is this possible. I didn't know anything about airliners at the time. Was it a PSA Bae 146? Meseba? I need to know!!!!

Thanks,

Adam

PSA was flying L-188 Electras again, at about that time, and they had some small DC-9s I believe and Bae-146s.

Someone probably can chime in with actuals.

First of all, there is no way you could've flown on a PSA 146 or Electra in 1989 from LAX-PHX, for two reasons:

First, PSA didn't exist in 1989, they disappeared into USAir in April 1988

Second, PSA had ditched the last of its Electras back in the mid-70's

Its possible, more likely probable that you were on a USAir flight formerly operated by PSA, most likely on a 146.
