United And Asia

Mon Apr 12, 1999 8:24 am

I saw a picture of a United 767 in Hong Kong. What routes do they use then on in Asia as they obviously do not fly them across the pacific. And is the 767-300 the only plane United uses in Asia.

I don't know what a United 767-300 was doing in Asia. It was probably a 777-200IGW. That and the 747 are the only planes United flies to Asia (except the DC-10-30F, which is United Worldwide Cargo).

UAL used to use the 767-300 for the HKG-DEL flight. Part of flight 1/2 "Around the World".
UA stopped using the 767, and went with the 747-400....but that whole segment was later cancelled. UA uses a lot of 747-400's, 747-200's, and a lot of 747-100's for the intra-Asia routes.
