Atlas Air?

Wed Jan 17, 2001 9:48 am

What does Atlas Air do exactly?
Does it fly cargo for companies? Or is it its own company? Or does it fly passengers? I am confused, and by the way on my profile it says Im 56-65, but I made a mistake Im 24, from Minnesota.
Thanks a Million

Atlas flys cargo for other companies in ACMI leases. They provide the aircraft, crew, insurance, and maintenance, Atlas's customers arrange the cargo. Atlas also arranges some of their own cargo loads but their aircraft are dedicated to a customer so they must be able to fill their needs first. No revenue passengers. Have you checked http://www.AtlasAir.com ?
