Airport Codes, Can Anyone Help?

Mon Jan 22, 2001 9:47 am

Is there a web site that lists all of them so i can figure out what eveyone is talking about. I know all of the Canadian ones but the rest of the world are hard except for a few like JFK and MIA

Thanks for the help,

G

This site lists a lot
http://www.house747.freeserve.co.uk/aptcodes.htm
and there is also one at www.iata.org, but it is not a list: you enter the city or the IATA code and it gives you the result.

Another excellent site is:

http://www.ar-group.com/icaoiata.htm

Using the IATA/ICAO codes, you can even do basic flight planning from the links on this page!

There are over 9000 codes at

http://www.airportcitycodes.com/

and if you want maps showing the location of the airport in question you can get all the info you want at

http://www.fallingrain.com/air/

This site is perhaps a little tricky to operate, but I'm sure you will get the hang of it after a few minutes

Behind every "no" is a "yes"
