Mon Jan 29, 2001 1:31 am

I will be attending Flight Safety withing the next few years and have trouble deciding what it is I want to train on. I live in Toronto where their are lots of jobs on a310's and 757's. what would be your choice?

I want to be cabin crew, so I've thought alot about the a/c type(s) I want to work on.
Although I've been on neither, i'd go for the A310, basically because it'll be more spacious inside and they're so cute!

I would go with the 757. The plane seems to have a lot of power to it, and I was talking with some AA people that were on my flight to EGE and they all loved flying the 757.

These two planes were both born about at the same in the 80s but most of the companies are today changing their A300 and A310 with 757s. So I guess you would have more future on a Boeing than on this Airbus...

And then, taking off on a 757 is so thrilling that I would choose this plane, just for these few moments of pleasure...

United pilots love taking their 757s for rides. Go for the 757!

Just look at the crash statistics of both planes, and the decision should be *quite* easy....

Don't jump to conclusions, please! Crash statistics aren't everything! You have to look at the individual incidents and accidents, and see what caused them. As far as I know, there has not been a fatal accident with either the A310 or the 757 that was caused by a faulty design.

The 757 is a much better aircraft with alot of muscle. IMO its one of the best airplanes out there and i look forward to the day i finally get to be at the controls of one. By the way..doesnt Flight Saftey do type ratings and training? I noticed youre only 16-20 and a rec pilot...hardly qualified to be type rated in one of those monsters. Then again all i have heard about is Flight Safetey's sim training and type rating programs. Is this a conference or something?
