Forum Meber: DELTA727 Read!

Hi. This is UAPilot7 or LAbsolute7@aol.com. I went to your website, which by the way I must say is AMAZING. Great job. But I sent 2 e-mails, both about 2 weeks ago, and STILL have yet to recieve a reply! Are you ignoring my mails or are you busy? If you are busy, seeing that you ARE a pilot (luck!), I totally understand! But I really want to know the answers one day when you have free time. Thank-you!

No problem!

Sorry about the slow reply. I usually work on my email while I'm commuting to Atlanta and on overnights. But I'll make sure I get to your email over the weekend.

Sorry for the delay and look forward to a response. And thanks for visiting the website. if you have any ideas for the site, let me know and I'll work on it!

Basically, it started back in 1996 when I put up my resume while I was an FO at Skyway Airlines. Someone at Delta who was a pilot there noticed it and he put in a recommendation for me and I got hired.

After I got hired, I had no reason to keep my resume up there but I still enjoyed website design. I decided to put up a site that helped out people that were interested in the "real world" of airline flying.

I got so sick of sites that didn't address flying realistically. Honestly, being an airline pilot is the best job in the world, but it's not as glamourous as non-pilots make it out to be.

I mean, who else is going to tell you that international flying is fun, but getting food poisoning on a layover in Istanbul isn't, or having an armed escort from the airport to the hotel in Rome is a little awakening. Or that you can fly the biggest, baddest plane at an airline, but without seniority, you're going to get abused as a reserve pilot?

Visit often because I change the content sporadically. There might not be a change in a month, but then it may get updated several times a week ocassionally.

Right now I'm working on "...a day in the life of an airline pilot..." complete with pictures and examples...It may be a few weeks because it can be labor intensive but check frequently.

Thanks for the boost!

Sorry man! I'm in 737 initial training right now and I mostly just lurk around the net until I have some free time on the weekends to spend answering emails.

I'll try to get to it when I have a little more time later this week, sorry for the delay!
