I have heard that Continental has plans to serve nearly 3000 daily flights by 2003. Most of this will be accomplished through the deliveries of the ERJ's, of which about 170 or so remain, with many new cities being offered. We just announced service to Asheville, NC, and Zacatecas, MX, yesterday, both of which were expected. Be on the lookout for new transborder flights with the ERJ from Cleveland. A few more things on the way are new services to the West Coast from IAH with the 145XR, to smaller markets. The ERJ-145XR gives us incredible flexibility, since it can reach to Florida from EWR, Colorado and almost all the East Coast from CLE, and either coast from IAH, as well as deep into Latin America. Another order of 777s and/or 767s are in the works, and some rumors of the 767-300 have bounced around, but none with any evidence. We are gearing up for a big growth spurt, and hopefully my salary will reflect that!
