Air Botnia flight lands safely
A Fokker 50 aircraft carrying 20 people made a successful emergency landing at Gardermoen airport on Friday morning after its control panel indicated a nose wheel malfunction.
The plane, operated by SAS-owned company Air Botnia, took off from Helsinki at 7.20 a.m. on Friday with 16 passengers and a crew of four on board. It was scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m., but the aircraft had to circle over Gardermoen for half an hour before it could land.
"Several of the passengers found the emergency landing tough going," said SAS press spokeswoman Siv Meisingseth. "They were to be debriefed at SAS Gardermoen Airport hotel," she said.
