Coventional wisdom would suggest United will dump the A330s. Although...does United still buy 767s? Delta still get the odd one from Seattle but have UA got any really young 767s? Because some of them are the oldest flying, 20 years old. So that whole medium twin fleet is up for replacement, and how locked-in to the 767 are UA? If the youngest aircraft in the fleet is 5 years old or more, the replacement issue is completely up for grabs. And I bet US Airways love the A330, and there'll be a sizeable faction from US that will be very supportive of the type. The UA camp like Airbus products anyway, so it could go either way. But I'd be very curious to know the average / youngest / oldest fleet age for UA's 767s.
