Let me clear up the 742's status at LY:
AXA, Left LY's fleet in the end of summer 1999, it is being stored in TLV - only fuseleg left.
AXB, Left LY's fleet in the end of summer 2000, it is being stored in TLV - without engines.
AXC, In service, Soon to be retired, replaced by a 777.
AXD, Left LY's fleet 2 month ago, sold to Hydro Air, Africa.
AXF, In service.
AXH, In service.
AXK, In service.
AXL, In service
AXQ, In service, To be retired in late 2001.
AXZ, Left LY's fleet in 1999, was broken-up in TLV.
About C.A.L, Its a private airline who flies 2 747's to Europe and NYC, it has it's own crew and maintence is done by the Israeli Aircraft Industry.
C.A.L doesnt have any links with El Al now.
