I can cofirm that this is a great airport for spotting B707s and DC-8s. I've never been though but have heard alot of good. You can also see the occasional An-124!

Still some 707s/DC-8s visit Ostend, but there's now rather more Ilyushin IL-76s and Antonov AN-12s than in the good old days.

There are some nice vantage points for photos at the end of the runway.

Sadly being freighters, and mainly ad-hoc, movements are a bit unpredictable so it tends to be luck of the draw whether you get to see anything much on the move.

Hi, I can tell you Ostend is the greatest cargo airport in Belgium. But when the best time is; can't tell you. Lot of these airplanes are delayed.
But you can see there B707's and DC8-airplanes. There are also sometimes Antonov's, Ilyushin's and many times a week, an Egyptair A300 visits this airport.

In Ostend, there are a few good spottingplaces; some of them near the runway.

I hope you can catch some good birds!
