SOuthwest Special SChemes, New Livery?

Wed Mar 07, 2001 11:21 am

Will the Southwest special scheme's (like California One, Texas One, Nevada One, etc.) tails be painted into blue instead of gold and the white lines and letters into gold? I am asking this cause Southwest introduced a new livery and i was VERY curious. Thank you in advance.

I know they're going to be keeping 3 birds in the standard old scheme to represent their 3 original cities.

Really? I never knew that well, no one still has answered my question, i wanted to know if the tails of Claifornia One etc will be painted blue like the new livery.

If I had to take a guess, then I would say no. The blue tail would not look good on California One, New Mexico One, or the Shamus. The new colors will probably only be seen on original livery 73G/733's.

I Agree With Mbird139

I hope he is correct. I don't think the special schemes would look good with the new blue tail. I was talking to a WN employee about two days ago and he had a good comment. He said, sure will hate to see what these new, blue schemes look like in a few years after the blue has faded.....good point....

Yes, they are keeping 3 original paint schemes to represent the first 3 cities WN flew to....

What are the cities?????

I know....just want to see if others know...
