A Continental 757 was forced to land at Bush Intercontinental Airport late this morning with one engine out, officials said.
The flight, which originated in San Jose, Calif., was able to land without incident at about 11:45 a.m., said Ernest DeSoto, a spokesman for the Houston Airport System.
Airport crews at the scene noticed that smoke appeared to be coming from the engine after it landed. The twin-engine passenger jet was then towed to the gate, where all 185 passengers and crew members safely disembarked, DeSoto said.
The cause of the incident was still being determined this afternoon, DeSoto said.
