Well people, I think it's Bull$hit.
Bush could of at least waited until late Sunday night, this would have at least kept negotiations continuing thru the weekend, now they will probably come to a stop as the urgency from the threat of a stike is now gone.
Northwest mechanics have been waiting for 4 years to get a new contract, no let me rephase that, Northwest has screwed their employees out of a contract for 4 years cause from what I have heared they do not plan on paying the retro.
Nice job dubya, you just delayed the enevitable, the summer months are the perfect time to have a strike, now 5 times as many passengers are going to be impacted by it, maybe you should have thought of that first huh.
Just my $35/hr base minimum (2 cents)
Okay people, that is my opinion from mechanics point of view, I am not a disgruntled NWA employee and I really don't think that its fair that the passengers plans get ruined by a greedy airline CEO to get a 10 million bonus or whatever it is he'll get.
Give me your opinions from all points of view,
eg. passenger, mechanics, management, pilots
