Long Haul Flights With Canada 3000.

Mon Mar 12, 2001 1:41 am

I visited the site and had a look at the seating plans. They have all-economy aircraft with less galleys than any other airline I have seen! Can they sufficiently provide adequate service to all those economy passengers with only a front and rear galley?

Absolutely! Although the galleys number less they are bigger and easily have the ability to accomodate a full passenger load.

I have only flown Canada 3000 once. I flew Toronto-St. Marten- about a four hour flight on a 757. They did provide a hot meal on both legs. Their 757s are not the most comfortable to fly in- seats are cramped and hard. But that is what you get for reasonable fares. Canada 3000 used to fly their 757s to Honolulu and Australia before they got the A330s (no thanks!)

If I remember correctly, they do not serve the food carrying trolleys around, but they rush around for every individual passenger with tablets - so maybe that is saving time, ensuring the food is fresher, or just allowing pax to go to the lav without a problem, but it surely impressed me.

Wasn't a problem on my flights on the A330-200. Food was good.

Whats your problem with the A330?

I flew two return long haul flights to SXF(from YVR) this summer and found the A330 to be most comfortable.

A330 rules OK and Canada 3000 are superb. I'd fly them again any time.

I keep wondering what this 'new airline' is that everyone's talking about *lol* Canada3000 bought Royal. Royal, later this year, will mesh into C3. Plain and simple. But I can't wait to see the A310 and 737-200 in C3 colours!

Long haul flights? You'll be well taken care of. Service is good.

And yes... the 20 hours in the 757 would've been unbearable before the 330's came along.

But... yanno... what can you expect paying half of what you would with the big boys?
