In the same vein, it's interesting to think about what would have happened to other carriers had EA and BN survived.
Obviously American would not have the size hub at DFW, and would not have experienced the type growth over the southern US that they have enjoyed.
At the same time, Delta wouldn't be dominating ATL as they do, in fact, ATL would be one of the more competitive airports with EA, DL, and AirTran.
The southern US down to South America has obviously been the area that has been most affected by BN and EA's departure.
