Overwing Emergency Exits B757/B767 Questions

Sat Mar 17, 2001 3:34 am

On some models there are overwing exits. Some don't. I think BA's B767s don't have overwing exits. Why is this so? My guess is it has something to do with seating arrangements.

There have been many threads on this in the past that you can find this information on. Airlines choose the configuration of their exits based on personal preference and the number of exits required by FAA/JAA depending on how many classes, seats etc. the aircraft is being used for.

Our 320's have OWE's, but the 330's have Door/Slide/raft exits. I also believe the size of an a/c comes into play.
