First and foremost the Model 35 Bonanza. There is just something about the classic V-tailed Bonanza. It is sleek fast and classic. The first modern high performance GA aircraft that came out after WWII.

Second would be the Mooney M20K, the 252. It was one of the best Mooney's ever made, though for a short time. It had the improved TCM TSIO-360 and had many of the improvements that would be seen in the later M20Js and the M20M.

I will never turn against my fair-weathered Cessna 172. two adults, two children, a dog and some small bags, no problem. Of course the 210 aint bad either.

I thnk that the straight tail Beechcraft Bonanzas are great to fly. (BE-33 series)
They were formerly known as Debonair's. Got my instrument in one, very stable on approaches.

For a taildragger...the Piper J-3 Cub. A classic, period.
For a tricycle gear...the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Regards.
