Hello out there,

Hope you all are doing well. For this, I would like you to tell me which Asian International Airport you like the most. Make it one only.

Mine is Quad-i-Azam International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan. Which one is yours??

Soon-to-open Incheon Airport. It has immense expansion potential with its strategic location.

The new KLIA is most impressive though I can't comment on HK's new airport as I have yet to go through there. Also Inchon will be interesting to see.

Osaka Kansai isn't far behind - very impressive construction but nowhere near enough shops, at least when I was there soon after its opening

Despite airlines turning their backs at KUL and MAS undergoing a major overhaul - Kuala Lumpur International is still a marvel to travel through.

In terms of Architectural design : Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), my home airport.

In terms of facilities, services, etc : Changi International Airport (SIN), my second home airport.

KLIA is the most beautiful architecturally but it is a hassle to get to and from the city centre. Changi is possibly the most hassle-free but suffers from a lack of character...pleasant but dull. NAIA has a lot of character with its motley inter-island aircraft, but is a hassle in various ways...

All things considered, it probably is CLK. It is beautiful, efficient, has great amenities, has room for growth, and super infrastructure to get to the city.

That being said, my favorite airport EVER has to be
Kai Tak. No airport in the world, no matter how beautiful or spacious, can compare to the Kaitak's unique setting. I miss it terribly... I miss that hairy final on Runway 13...I miss not seeing the whole aircraft from ground level and hearing my footsteps as I climb the stairway... I even miss the aroma of sewer stench mixed with avgas and diesel when riding those ramp buses.

While the big modern airports in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong are all very nice, my personal preference is a little smaller and to many people here probably unvisited.
So for something different I will say Wattay International, Vientiane Laos!
I remember when the DC-3 was new!

ERJ135, Wattay is a cackhole. I had the misfortune of doing a virtual crash-landing there in a Lao Aviation jet coming from BKK and it was really horrible inside, plus one of the free food options (as compensation for nearly dying!) was frog in tomato sauce!

Best airports - in order.

1. KLIA (KUL)
2. Changi (SIN)
3. Bangkok (BKK) - despite the wierd colour scheme
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

For me, Singapore Changi. very efficient, hassle-free, clean, organized and plenty of shops.
I was there 2 days ago on my way back to London and I went over to T1 for lunch (I was flying through T2). I must say, T1 does look its age but still is extremely efficient. However T1 will always be special as it is the "original" terminal where everything used to go through.
