Virgin's Secret A340 Deal

Sat May 08, 1999 3:39 pm

Interesting stuff below...

I've just bought this book called Giant Airliners by Mark Wagner and Guy Norris. It mentions that Richard Branson had a bet with Airbus Jean Pierson, that he could remove the frenchman's watch without him knowing. Branson did it. Th exact deal is unknown, but I think the dea involves A340s. Anyone know the exact deal?

The deal was that if Branson could get the watch off Airbus would discount the A340s ALOT.
