In case you have not heard, the Delta Airlines 777s are now being used on a highly unlikely route, Orlando, FL (MCO) to Atlanta, GA (ATL). I was on the flight this morning in the BusinessElite Class (Its only BusinessElite and Economy, like Continentals BusinessFirst) and I have to say it was one of my most pleasant flights. The flight numbers (just in case you want to know to see Im not lying) are MCO-ATL: 1991, 1995, 1987 and ATL-MCO: 1990, 1994, 1986. What I do not know is why they are doing 777s on such a short route (403 miles). If anyone can help me out with why they are doing it, please tell me why and if they 777s are flying ny other routes. My guess its for training. Thanks.
