Cargo Pilots Vs Pax Pilots

By example is a Cargo Pilot allowed to fly a full passenger AC ? And is there any difference
in salaries? Which job is more interesting? Is there a difference in training/formation?

why not? if pilot have two current typeratings (one for cargo acft and one for pax acft) he can fly cargo and pax as well.
another point (i'm 98% sure in it): most of converted acft do not require separate typerating. let's say DC10-30 and DC10-30F should be covered with one typerating, so the pilot can fly cargo and pax on cargo and pax versions accordingly. the same with A300B4-200 and A300B4-200F, 727s, MD11s, 747s, etc...

usually cargo drivers earning less money than pax drivers. there are a lot of night-time cargo flights (i don't think anybody like to wake-up at 02-0300 am and go to airport), but for longhaul it doesn't matter.

There is no difference in pay between cargo pilots and passenger pilots - there is a difference yes, but it is a function of the company salary and contract a that time. I fly 747s, either cargo or passengers (love the cargo planes, little boxes do not complain for flight delays or are not placed in a hotel if we cancel the flight)... My training required is not different, and my license does not mention "passenger" and/or "cargo"...
Regarding salaries, some 5 yrs ago, had a friend captain 747 TWA (pax) and another captain 747 (cargo) FedEx ex-Flying Tigers. That cargo pilot salary was nearly double of the salary of our TWA friend. It is true that many cargo airlines are paying extremely low wages and benefits... i.e. Atlas Air and Polar Air are among these. Fedex, UPS or Cargolux have good salaries and benefits.
